LU PATIENTS PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS 1995 CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN The time of year has come when the Activity Department starts preparing for the Holiday Season. One of the main objectives of the Activity Department at this time is to find donors for each of our residents in our Christmas Presents for Patients program. Living in a nursing home or a long term care facility is a big adjustment in itself. But what many people fail to realize is that holidays become very lonely and depressing for our residents. Many no longer have family or friends to visit them or a home to go to. Also, their physical condition may limit them in leaving the facility. Won't you and your family find it in your heart to sponsor one of our residents with a Christmas gift and a visit if possible. I assure you the true meaning of Christmas will enter your heart! Please fill out the coupon below and return it to: Sherry Humbertson, Bethlen Home, P.O. Box 657 W. Vincent St., Ligonier, PA 15658. After we receive the coupon, you will then receive your assigned resident's name and a list of gift suggestions ranging from $5.00 to $25.00 in price. It is totally up to the sponsor on what he or she wants to spend on a gift for our resident. You will then be expected to either visit the resident with your gift, or deliver the gift several days before Christmas so that the resident will be able to receive your gift during the Christmas Party. If you live out of town and would like to sponsor a gift for a resident, please feel free to send a donation made out to Bethlen Home Activity Fund, and our volunteers will do the shopping for you. Your name will be placed on the gift of the resident that you were assigned.
