During the month of July, special ice cream treats will be passed out throughout the month. Details will be posted. UPCOMING EVENTS During the next several months, special programs will be held along with the regularly scheduled events. The following highlights will be held during the months of JUNE, JULY and AUGUST. We hope you will enjoy the events scheduled. Details will be posted on the bulletin boards located by each nurs­ing station. JUNE HIGHLIGHTS Friday, 11th — In honor of National Donut Day, a special treat of homemade donuts will be distributed to residents and staff. fpr\ Monday, 14th — The 14th celebrates Flag Day. A cookout is planned, rain or shine. Friday, 18th — In honor of Father’s Day, a special program will be held for our gentlemen residents, starting at 1:30 in the Solarium. Details to be posted closer to that time. Tuesday, 23rd — St. James Lutheran Church “Willing Workers” plan a special program of entertainment and refreshments. Friday, 25th — June’s Birthday Party will be held in the afternoon at 1:30 in the Solarium. Monday, 28th — A picnic outing is scheduled for Yellow Creek Park in Indiana. Details to be posted. Dig out your summer wear. c? , JULY HIGHLIGHTS Thursday, 1st — Special evening entertainment by Jay Smar will be held following dinner at 6:30 in the Dining Room. Jay will be performing at Twin Lakes Art Festival this weekend. Friday, 2nd — A cookout will be held for the residents in honor of the holiday weekend. Friday, 16th — An old fashioned Ice Cream Festival is planned, along with musical entertainment. The musi­cal entertainment will be musicand songsfrom around the world. Weather permitting, the program will be held outdoors on our beautiful patio. Monday, 19th — What better way to celebrate the invention of the Ice Cream Cone than to pass out a special treat. Watch for this during the afternoon. Friday, 23rd — Picnic outing to be held atTwin Lakes State Park. Details to be posted. Friday, 30th — Anyone for miniature golf? An outing to a local miniature golf course is planned, along with lunch. Also, an outing to Conley Inn for the Polynesian Show is planned during this month. Details on setting the date have not been set. Watch for this fun event. AUGUST HIGHLIGHTS Friday, 13th — A picnic outing to Keystone State Park is planned, with details to be announced. Monday, 16th — In honor of National Melon Day, a special treat of your favorite melons will be passed out in the afternoon. Friday, 20th — A cookout will be held on the first floor patio. Friday, 27th — Sign up for the SURPRISE OUTING, guaranteed to be a fun experience. Cost is $18.00 each. Special ice cream treats will also be distributed during this month.
