Jiigíjltgtjts SPECIAL UPCOMING EVENTS TO BE HELD DURING THE FOLLOWING MONTHS DECEMBER ^ A ÆS. 3rd — Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon will be visiting the facility from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a good time to do any last minute shopping for your Christmas outfits. 6th to the 12th — SANTA’S WORKSHOP WEEK. Resi­dents needing help with decorating, addressing cards,. mailings, wrapping gifts, etc., can see Sherry or Ann in the Activity Department. They will make sure one of Santa’s Helpers will stop by. 12th — Ligonier Senior High School’s Interact Club will be by to visit the residents with a holiday surprise starting at 10 a.m. 13th — A Christmas pageant presented by the Cove­nant Youth Group will be held at 3 p.m. in the Dining Room. 16th — A Christmas hymn sing will be held at 6:30 in the Dining Room with Pastor Johns and Family. JANUARY Help will be needed in taking down the Christmas decorations. See Sherry and Ann for details. 8th — Elvis Presley was born this day. A memorial party will be held in the afternoon, with details to be posted. « Chinese New Year Week will be held the week of the 24th. Special programs will be planned each day. S® Watch for details on the bulletin boards. 28th — Residents are needed to join in on the Kazoo Band. Anyone can play this instrument. 29th — Super Bowl Party will be held in the afternoon. Who will be the winning team?? FEBRUARY King and Queen of Hearts Contest will be held start­ing the 5th. Three couples will be nominated and employees, families and volunteers will be encour­aged to vote for their favorite couple. Winners will be announced at the Valentine’s Party. 18th — A special evening outing for dinner and to see the Christmas Light display at Idlewild Park. Resi­dents interested should see Sherry or Ann. Outing will start at 5 p.m. 20th — Afternoon entertainment will be provided by«^ Katherine Kinsey at 2 p.m. in the Dining Room. 22nd — Laurel Valley Nurses’ Club will be visiting at 12:30. Keep those doors open to hear those beautiful voices. 23rd — Residents’ Christmas Party will be held at 1:30 in the Dining Room. Entertainment will be provided by the Rhoades Brothers. Wià^ 24th — Christmas Eve Open House from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Families and friends welcome. Entertainment to be provided by Judy Fhier. February is also known as Black History Month. Discussions will be held weekly on famous black historians. 12th — Special Sweethearts Dinner will be held in honor of the King and Queen of Hearts nominees. Residents are welcome to invite their special sweet­heart to spend the evening with them. 13th — Valentine Party will be held in the afternoon. This year's party and entertainment will be sponsored by the Ligonier Women’s Club. 31st — Toast in the New Year at the special gathering at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Solarium. Entertainment to be provided by Katherine Kinsey.
