This is always a difficult job, due to the excellent job everyone does for our department and the residents. This year’s winner is ROBERTA BURKHART, also known as “BOBBY” here at the home. You can always find Bobby doingalot of one on one visitation, taking residents for walks, helping with outings, etc. She has also started a new program for our residents within the last year. Each week you will find Bobby doing facials and manicures, both as a group project or one on one. She’s always smiling and pleasant and the residents just love her. She also has several hidden craft talents that have helped out during craft days, the bazaar and preparing itemsforthe gift shop. “Bobby” has donated her time and talents to the Bethlen Home for over two year?. “Thanks” for your endless energy, talents and efforts to our department and to our residents. You make a great Volunteer of the Year. "CONGRATULATIONS!” APRIL IS VOLUNTEER MONTH During the month of April, millions of Americans, young and old, will be celebrating National Volunteer Recognition Month. These people will also be recognized for their time, talents, efforts and endless energy that they have given to various community groups like the Bethlen Home. The Bethlen Home and the Activity Department will be recognizing their volunteers during National Volunteer Week which is celebrated from April 18th to the 24th. A luncheon and award ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 22nd. Volunteers will be receiving details at a closer date. This year’s National theme is “VOLUNTEERS: TREASURES FOR ALL SEASONS”. This is very much true of the volunteers of the Bethlen Home. Each of our volunteers has that special quality of endless love and giving. They truly make a difference in our residents’ lives. A tender hug and gentle smile can go a long way. “THANKS”, volunteers, for making us all feel so “special”! Listed below are the Volunteers of Bethlen Home “Thanks” for another great year.
