1992 CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN Christmas can be a lonely and joyous time for our residents here at the Bethlen Home. This year, the Activity Department will be joining the “PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS” Campaign, along with St. Barnabas Charitable Foundation and Channel Eleven News WPXI-TV, in helping to get sponsors to buy a Christmas gift for a resident in a nursing home. Won’t you join this holiday campaign, in its ninth year, to help brighten Christmas for men and women in long term care facilities like the Bethlen Home. Last year we were able to raise over 12,000 gifts for different facilities located in Westmoreland, Allegheny, Fayette and Indiana Counties. Through your dedicated support, we were able to present each one of our residents here at the Bethlen Home (103 patients) with a special gift of slippers, sweaters, calendars, etc. The cost of your sponsorship is totally up to you. We have had sponsors from $5.00 to $25.00. This is totally up to you. The procedure is simple. Fill out the coupon below. Sherry, the Activity Director, will assign you a name and give you a list of gift selections for that particular patient. You then will be responsible for purchasing the gift of your choice. If you are unable to shop, or you find you don’t have the time but would like to donate to this worthy cause, we will be more than happy to have one of our volunteers do your shopping and distribute your gift on Christmas Day to that particular patient. Anyone having any questions may contact Sherry Humbertson, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. She will be more than happy to explain the procedure to you.
