JVcthrítjj Ptgljitgljts FOR LADIES ONLY!!! A Fashion Show and Mother’s Day Tea was held recently for the ladies in honorof Mother’s Day. Many of the residents recalled some of the familiar styles of clothing back in their era. Refreshments of Strawberry Shortcake and punch were served. All in all, it was a fun afternoon enjoyed by all. Special appreciation to residents Helen Paul, Blanche Demangone and volunteers Nellie Welty, Ann Woodall and Roberta Mayr for modeling. You ladies were great sports. Below are several pictures of our models wearing outfits from the early 1900’s to the 1940’s. A SPECIAL CELEBRATION AND SALUTE HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE UPCOMING MONTHS A special celebration will be held on June 4th in honor of National Nursing Assistants Day. Details will be posted weekly on the bulletin boards located near each Nursing Station. JUNE A special salute to our Nurses Aides will be held during the afternoon on Thursday the 4th. Residents are encouraged to attend to helpshowtheirappreciation. The residents who are in the Adopt-A-Grandparent Program from Fort Allen School will be going on an outing to visit the children. Details of this outing will be given to the residents closer to the time. A special art contest will be held during the first week in June. Judging will be held the following week by family and staff. Prizes will be given to first, second and third place winners. National Donut Day is on Friday the 5th. Guess what special treat will be passed out to the residents and staff!! National Beach Week will be held during the week of the 14th to the 20th. Staff and residents will be encouraged to wear summer clothing such as walking shorts and bright colored tops.
