Details will be posted on the bulletin boards located near each nursing station. June A special entertainment will be held on the 6th by Marge and Anthony McCarty at 6:30 in the dining room. A special treat of "homemade donuts" will be served on National Donut Day which is on the 7th. In honor of it being National Dairy month we will be making homemade milkshakes to tempt your appetite on the 10th. A special Bake Sale will be held starting at 9 a.m. for employees and residents. This will be located on the first floor lounge. A special color day of red, white, & blue will be held on Flag Day the 14th for all staff and residents. A special Father's Day luncheon is also planned this day with a special wildlife film in the afternoon for "men only". First day of summer picnic will be held on the 21st. This will also be a dress up day with walking shorts for the staff and residents. A special treat of watermelon will also be passed out to the residents in the afternoon in honor of it being National Fruit Month. A drive in movie and pizza party will be held (weather permitting) at 6:30 on the 24th. June Birthday Party will be held on the 28th at 2 p.m. Family and friends are welcome. July A special cookout will be held on the 3rd for residents. Fourth of July will also be a color day for staff of red, white and blue. In honor of National Hot Dog Month, a special hot dog sale will be held on Monday the 8th. Special treats of ice cream will be distributed to the residents in honor of National Ice Cream Month. A special ice cream social will be held on the 15th. Wear your finest hat! ! Stripe Day will be held on the 17th for all staff and residents. Our first annual comroast will be held on the 18th rain or shine. A special treat will be passed out on the 21st on National Ice Cream Day. A special cooking class will be held on the 22nd in honor of National Baked Beans month. Guess what the main ingredient is??? July Birthday Party will be held on the 25th at 2 p.m. A special treat of ice cream will be distributed on the 26th. A special evening cookout will be held at 6 p.m. on the 29th. AUGUST Let's Visit the Ocean Week will be held the week of the 4th. Special programs will be held during this week such as poolside cocktails, and Captains Dinner, to name a few. Details will be posted. A cookout and comroast will be held on the 20th. August Birthday Party will be held on the 30th at 2 p.m. **Note** Special outings are also scheduled for the summer.
