Church Annual Picnic Etelka, Edit and Kati Mischak at the Church Annual Picnic Itt-Ott Conference, 2010 This year, for the first time, I visited the Itt-Ott Conference, organized by the Hungarian Communion of Friends. It took place August 14-21, 2010 in its traditional home, Lake Hope State Park in Ohio. For over thirty years, the conference has been presenting high level lectures and discourse while also providing an opportunity for families to vacation together. The joyful sound of children is always a vital element of the gathering. The theme of the 2010 Conference was: Cultivation of Self — Strengthening of the Nation. During the week, the rows of cabins in this state park transformed into a small village where the language you overheard all around was Hungarian. All generations were represented here. At night, as you walked along the road of this village, you could see young people dancing in one cabin, middle-aged people having a lively Branch 501, 502 — St. George, NJ Fali 2010 Henning Marika, Balogh Eva are frying the lángos at the Church Annua!
