Summer 2010 Members of the Magyar Reformed Church are listening to Pastor Rev. Zsolt Otvos' sermon is our Reformed Christian faith. Our faith is Bible-based that offers practical answers for questions in our everyday lives. Our community life, based on our theology, involves and holds every single member equal, dear and important. And also, our Hungarian Reformed communities, as part of our heritage, offer kind hospitality, close relationships between members, and a strong sense of fellowship. This is the mission that the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America or the Bethlen Communities were part of from the beginning. Our fraternal organizations were founded on the same Christian values that hold us together today: fellowship, a sense of responsibility for each other, and practical, Bible-based faith. These are all treasures that God has given us, and I believe that today our mission is to share that heritage, open our doors to our neighbors, and reach out to invite people and those seekers who are looking for a spiritual home that God wants to offer through us. I believe that this sense of mission can help to strengthen and revitalize our churches. It would help the relationships between our congregations become even stronger if we held conferences and events to talk together about our status today as members of the Hungarian Reformed Churches in America and define our future plans to ensure that our younger generations will continue our mission.
