HRFA Fall Board Meeting Ligonier October 2007. At the meeting President Balogh presented his vision for HRFA: Success = Hungarians Working Together He noted that we need to work together to build a positive image for HRFA. Image is hard to build: it takes 2- 5 years according to Donald Trump and Professor Sexton of Columbia University in their book Marketing 101. Image is also easy to destroy, through bad service, internal discord, and “pletyka”. He stated that HRFA, without a good image, cannot sell its products. Image must be built through fraternal activities, networking, public relations, sales and great service, and working together. He noted that the Home Office staff is small and asked the Directors to suggest ways they could contribute to HRFA. He mentioned several volunteers who help HRFA, including Noémi Toka and Zsuzsa Bordás, and enumerated several fraternal and marketing successes, including establishing good relations with the Hungarian American Scouts. Lastly, he outlined his marketing plans for next year, including finding new agents, new social memberships and expanding our mortgage sales through alliances. In addition, Director Fabri, Chairman of the Fraternal Activities Committee gave a detailed report, written by the National Fraternal Coordinator, about the fraternal activities and its many successes achieved.
