HRFA Commemorates Hungarian National Holiday,

March 15, 2007

HRFA held a solemn commemoration of the 1848 Revolution at the HRFA Kossuth House on March 15, 2007. The theme was patriotism and honoring the long legacy of the Hungarians’ fight for freedom, justice, and democracy. We had recitals from poems about the meaning of freedom and democracy in 1848 Hungary, written a while ago, yet which were ironically relevant to the current day situation in Hungary.
