The New Jersey meeting was led by Director Michael Pauli, Jr. and was hosted by the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick, with Rev. Barnabás Röczey as Pastor. Directors Dózsa, Hunyady and Puskas attended, as well as Dr. Otto Hamos. The clergy who attended included the Rev. Joseph Vásárhelyi, Rev. Attila Kocsis, and Rev. Árpád Drótos. Branch Manager Kapitan from the District of Columbia also attended. After the opening prayer by Rev. Röczey, the meeting started with Ms. Zambo presenting birthday cakes to the two birthday boys: President Balogh and Secretary/Treasurer Les Megyeri. That set the tone for a very friendly and cooperative meeting. Mr. Michael Pauli, Jr. opened the meeting with a greeting to the directors, members and friends that came. He then turned the meeting over to President Balogh, who recapped some of the successes that HRFA had over the past year. Key among these was creating a renewed image for HRFA, through the many new fraternal activities that were undertaken, as well as the recruitment of a number of new agents. Two of these, Robert Kovács from New Brunswick and Doris Brewer from Sarasota went through the life and health courses and obtained their state licenses. Doris also received her license to sell variable annuities. An open discussion period followed, with helpful suggestions from the audience about web site improvements and about a potential alliance to expand our mortgage portfolio.
