BRANCH NEWS — “Fun was had by all” © Branch 20—Trenton, NJ Branch 20 is busy making tote bags for the Operation Christmas Child boxes. We are working on about 600 bags, and will have plenty to distribute to other branches for their OCC Making the tote bags boxes. If you have someone willing to sew, we will send tote bags that are finished through the serging and have only a few steps left to complete. What an excellent opportunity for your next year’s Operation Christmas Child project! Deneice Oroszvary Branch Manager and Area Fraternal Coordinator Branch 35—Detroit, MI The picnic of our Branch was held on a Saturday in late August. And it was a little unusual. We had it planned in a beautiful park but the weather did not cooperate so we Branch members at ‘indoor’ picnic moved indoors. Despite all the unforeseen circumstances, nothing could change the spirit and excitement of the members. The food was just as tasty as outdoors and the fellowship lovely as always. The highlight of the gathering was the presence of HRFA’s President Mr. Balogh. He spoke to us about the life and work of the Federation. We held a raffle and our members furnished numerous prizes. Who says you can’t have fun indoors? We even had some games inside. John Bujdoso Ashley Rudin It is good to see the young people to be active. On Youth Sunday at the American Hungarian Reformed Church John A. Bujdoso and Ashley Rudin participated in the worship service on a Sunday morning. Everyone was excited to see them. Harvest Party Earlier we named it as one of our goals to involve and support the younger generation. A delightful Harvest Costume Party was organized for them with 18 children in attendance. Our young members Alexis and Brianna Hladchuk and Denise and Janet Kontos were wearing cute costumes and were having lots of fun together with their friends.
