If using white paper, color or paint a colorful, abstract design. Place design face down. Draw dots on the corners and center of the paper. Cut along the dotted lines as shown, but don’t cut all the way through the center of the square.

Fold the comers into the center of square, lining up the dots on top of each other.

Push the straight pin through the corner dots, through the dot in the center of the square, and into the side of the pencil’s eraser.

Blow into the pinwheel and watch it spin.

MATERIALS:

6” square piece of paper Pencil with eraser Straight pin Scissors

Paint, color pencils, crayons or markers

center, fasten the pinwheel to the pencil eraser.
