Thus far we have somewhere between 36 and 39 boxes. This year we are getting the boot boxes which are larger, so we can put more material in for young children in the 3rd world countries. Our small church has collected quite a few items and we’ll complete the project in a couple of weeks. About 14 members of church Sunday school youth group helped packaging the shoeboxes for our project. Everyone was there that could help, all the members of the church participated as far as giving different items. Our sister church assisted with donating the money of $5 per box to cover shipping costs. The very young, the middle aged and the elderly — they all helped tremendously. It is a really wonderful project that we have been doing for years and are proud of. We are also planning to have our regular sausage sale in the beginning of December which we do twice a year. The proceeds we receive from the sausage sale go towards missions to help the different people that are in need, especially in our area, through the Warren Rescue Mission and of course the Salvation Army which we give each year. The later part of December we will work on a Christmas program to help children as we stated in the past. We collect food each Sunday, and when we have so much of that collected, we give it to the Warren Rescue Mission. They distribute the food to different people in our community which consist of about 250,000 people in our county. Kayla Lytle (in the middle) with her grandparents Bill and Marge Nicholas Camp Timberwolf — Our granddaughter Kayla Lytle along with our nephew Justin O'Brien drove 750 miles from Myrtle Beach, SC to volunteer as counselors at this camp for those with special needs. It was very rewarding for them, and of course, we are proud of their accomplishment. Director and Mrs. Michael Pauli, Jr. celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2005.
