U* Branch 300 — Washington, D.C. The Mother's Day Picnic sponsored by the Hungarian Scouts of Washington was held on Sunday, May 8th, 2005 at the “Benedek Tanya” in Rockville, Maryland. The Scouts shared poems and danced for the parents. The program concluded with presenting each mother with a red carnation. After the program, lunch was provided by the Scouts families, during which time branch 300's Branch Manager Frank Kapitan gave information about juvenile policies for the Scouts. Mother's Day with the Hungarian Scouts was a pleasant day füled with good friends and thoughts of our "mother's". I am a college linebacker for the Grand Valley State Lakers. I spend most of my time training for football and preparing for classes. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and having a good time. Even though I am extremely busy with football, it has kept me disciplined in life by making better choices and maintaining good grades in the classroom. I intend to enter business school in the near future to achieve my goal of attaining a bachelors degree in business management. I would like to thank my family for the support and encouragement while I pursue college education. I would also like to thank my late grandfather, Ludwig Gebnar, who instilled a deep tradition of Hungarian heritage into me. 1 am grateful to Mrs. Ilona Szabó for
