Page 20 Fraternity-Testvériség the progress they made in the past few months. They were answering any questions that we might have had, informing us about the actual move-in date and why it had to be re-scheduled for a week after the original date. We got a guided tour around the facility: they showed us a room, the different dining areas and kitchens designated to each wing. They have an area for visitors if they come to see their relatives with a nice guest shop that even my grandchildren enjoyed exploring. Members and non-members of HRFA participated by bringing items they no longer need. The collection lasted an entire year, and we planned our first large garage sale for the day of April 23, 2005. The preparations started on Friday by pricing the items and setting up the area. Saturday began with hot cups of coffee and doughnuts. Our first sales were an “antique’Mooking old stove that could easily be originated from the 1940s, and a ringer washer, sold to somebody who prefers this way of doing her laundry. These and many other items were sold that day, and all the proceeds went towards Matt’s college fund. By the end of the day the total we made with the sale reached $850! We had over 15 helpers on that Saturday and we are grateful to all of them, as well as to those, Matt Wallace, Rese Varshine & Sue Naugle who donated or purchased, and made this project a succesful fundraiser. Our second huge sale was planned as a 3-day event. We started on Thursday, August 18 to put all the items out on tables which had already been priced as they were received throughout the year. Additionally, we decided to have a sale of baked goods, coffee and cold beverages, and for lunch we grilled hot dogs. The three days of August 18-19-20 were sizzling hot, but the tents that we put up really helped to shelter the workers, and we even had fun together. Our total proceeds for this garage sale reached $1,500. Branch 151 and some of the members have been involved in several fundraser events for the past two years to help Matt’s continued education. It was great to participate and meet new friends, and help them to pick out their new treasures. Matt is very thankful to all who contributed to the success of the day. He showed his appreciation by becoming a member of the HRFA and a commitment to be even more active in the projects of Branch 151 in the future. The Lord has blessed! Tiger Pause Fund Raiser June 25, 2005 Established in 1988, Tiger Pause Youth Ministry set out to make a difference in the lives of the youth living in Beaver Falls, PA. The center is located directly across from big Beaver Falls Middle School. Throughout the years, the center has been a “safe heaven” for youth from the constant risk of dangerous and sometimes illegal activities most adolescents face in the inner city. This drop-in center has Peggy Fabri and collaborate with T-shirts and will always be the backbone of our organization in which students receive a balanced meal, and a pause from the grind of the everyday life. We met with Matt Nance, Director of Tiger Pause and the Board to discuss how we could assist
