Page 15 Fraternity- Testvériség Bethlen Home, members of the American Hungarian Reformed Presbyters’ Association and members of the American Hungarian Reformed Ministerial Association gathered with representatives of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and the Board of Directors of Bethlen Communities, to worship God and then participate in the dedication ceremony. The worship service and dedication took place in the Linden Room (Great Room) of the new building. Well over 100 people participated in the service and picnic which followed. On Saturday, October 1, 2005, the donated resident rooms and activity areas were dedicated, and the donor churches, organizations, foundations and individuals were recognized at a reception held in their honor. This dedication service coincided with the Fall Meeting of the Central Classis of the Calvin Synod Conference, UCC, which took place in the Bethlen Communities (L to R) William Jonathon Toth, Margaret Kalassay Toth Kalmanne, Rev. Imre A. Bertalan. Ms. Toth Kalman traveled with her son from Washington State. They are relatives of one of Bethlen Home’s original founders, Alexander Kalassay. Conference Room during the morning hours. Once again, more than 100 people took part in the activities of the day. “Thus far has the Lord helped us.” Or, as it is written in a modem English version: “The Lord has helped us all the way.” Our ancestors affirmed this faith throughout the first eight decades, as the Bethlen Home of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America grew and new buildings were dedicated. This realization continues to be at the heart of more recent Bethlen Communities’ days of celebration, (L to R) James Toth, Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, Priscilla Hunyady. Check presentation from the Magyar Reformed Church in Linden, NJ, after which Bethlen Home’s Linden Room is named. Priscilla’s father was the founding pastor, Toth was the Chief Elder. The Church is no longer in service. when, in 2001, the Ligonier Gardens Personal Care Home was dedicated, and now, as the new Bethlen Home was dedicated. And may this trust in and dependence upon the guidance and inspiration of God continue in the hearts of all leaders, workers and supporters in the years to come. May Bethlen Communities always be an Ebenezer, a “Stone of Help”, for those who live here, work here, visit here and worship here. All praise and glory be to Almighty God! Rev. Imre A.
