Other organizations that were present at the Festival were US Army, American Red Cross, Herndon Police, Fairfax County Dept, of Housing and Community Development, US Dept, of Housing and Urban Development, Fairfax County Public Schools, Hispanic Committee of Virginia, Computer Learning Center Partnership, English as a Second Language Program, Women, Infants and Children (W1C), Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Olympia Funding, La Leche League, Herndon Free Clinic, Reston Interfaith, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, and many more! In all it was a beautiful sunny day which made volunteering a blast! The diverse atmosphere and the sounds of music and dance made a day of volunteering a fun activity for everyone! Kelly and daughter Kathy UeClOeCl tO proceed with our project as planned: we baked homemade Hungarian cakes and wrapped them in little bags with a prayer card attached. We distributed those to the mothers as they came out of Church on Mother’s Day. The cakes and prayer cards were very much appreciated by the parishioners. Margaret Pauli, Branch Manager Tel: (732) 549-4898 BRANCH NEWS Branch 35 — Detroit, MI It was our pleasure to welcome HRFA’s National Secretary /Treasurer, Mr. Leslie Megyeri and Director Joseph Kovach with his wife Marika as our distinguished guests on the Federation Day held on February 6, 2005. After the introduction of our guests by Director Ilona Szabó, Mr. Megyeri contributed to the success of the event with his explanation about our insurance products and annuities. Over 150 people showed up and they all were very, very interested. It was a marvelous day and young and old had a fabulous time. We had lots of good food, but Marika Kovács’s kalács was going faster than we could cut it. Thanks to all who came and especially to those who contributed with their work!
