Dear Friends and Supporters of the Bethlen Communities at Ligonier, The date noted above, June 22, 2005, may become one of the more significant dates within the nearly 85 year history of the Bethlen Flome. On that special Wednesday, if the Lord grants us the privilege and if the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania gives its permission, and if all the preparation is completed and if the weather cooperates, the residents of Bethlen Flome will move from the old nursing home into the new. What a grand day it will be .....a day of much thanksgiving and joy! I invite all of the Friends and Supporters of the Bethlen Communities to be present on Moving Day and to participate in the event. We will need people to assist the residents. We will need hosts and hostesses. We hope there will be many to witness the ribbon cutting and tour the new building. We hope many will be here to walk the route between the buildings, beginning with prayer at the old building and ending with prayer at the new. Later in the day, we hope many can stay for the picnic, which will be a fitting ending to a magnificent day. We also invite volunteers to come on the days before the move in order to help prepare the resident living areas for their new occupants. Anyone interested in helping during the days preceding and/or on June 22nd, are invited to call Ms. Pat Ärmel, Dir. of Development, or Ms Sherry Humbertson, Activities Dir., for more information. They can both be reached at 724-238-6711. Leading in the preparation for the big move is an old friend, who has returned to the Bethlen Home as its Administrator. It is a privilege for me to reintroduce Mr. Michael E. Walker, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Michael first served the residents and staff of the Bethlen Home from late 1999 through 2003. He returned to us on February 7, 2005. For Michael, it is the sense of “coming home”. For the larger Bethlen Home family, it is the sense of “welcome back”! With an ongoing unity in purpose, the entire Bethlen Home- Ligonier Gardens family looks forward to a future of expanding services and facilities, grateful to God and grateful to the many supporters, who make possible the programs offered within the Bethlen Communities at Ligonier. May our Merciful God continue to be with and to bless the many supporters and friends of the Bethlen Communities at Ligonier. During these Lenten and Easter Seasons, may we grow deeper in the faith and stronger in that lifestyle that allow us to be known as Christians, those who belong to the Lord! A fent megnevezett dátum a Bethlen Otthon közel 85 éves történetének egyik legnevezetesebb napját jelzi. Ha Istennek úgy tetszik, ha Pennsylvania hatóságai jóváhagyásával találkozik, ha a munkálatok sikeresen bevégződnek és, ha az időjárás is kedvez, otthonunk gondozottai azon a napon költöznek a régi épületből az újba. Micsoda ígéretes nap, a hálaadásnak és örvendezésnek milyen eseménydús napja. Erre a nevezetes napra ezennel meghívjuk a Bethlen Otthon minden barátját és támogatóját. Kérjük, hogy kedves vendégeink kapcsolódjanak be a rendezés örömébe és munkájába. Munkáról szólva, önkénteseket kérünk a vendéglátói feladatok végzésére illetve arra, hogy hogy a költözés előtti napokban, főleg június 21-én és a költözés reggelén rendbe tehessük a szobákat a lakók fogadására. Imádsággal indulunk a régi épületből, imával lépünk be az új otthonba, amikor is tanúi leszünk egy jelképes cselekménynek, a szalagvágásnak. A szertartás végeztével az együtt örvendezés záró eseményére, piknikre, várjuk kedves vendégeinket. A Bethlen Otthon és Ligtonier Gardens nagy családja jó reménységgel néz szeretetintézményünk növekvő szolgálata elé. Hálásak vagyunk Istennek és köszönetét mondunk az Otthon barátainak, akik lehetővé teszik az egyre szélesedő szolgálatot. A mi kegyelmes Istenünk legyen és maradjon továbbra is velünk és áldja meg a Bethlen Otthon barátait és támogatóit.
