Madison Morey was bom on February 13, 2002, to Tim and Kristine Morey of Atlanta, Georgia. Little Madison is also the granddaughter of HRFA Vice Chairman of the Board John K. Pat Morey, Branch Manager Tel: 330-758-2971 Branch 31 - Lorain, Ohio At our January 19, 2003, annual branch meeting, we elected our officers: Roberta Aros, President; Sharon Pennington, Vice President; and Emma Aros, Secretary- Treasurer. We are pleased to report that besides the various volunteer activities, contributions and support to the local churches and charitable organizations, our branch will continue to support the Bethlen Home, the Bethlen Home Activity Fund and the Student Aid of the HRFA. We congratulate our Student Aid scholarship recipients of 2002: Talhia M. Krul, Amanda T. Tyler, Timothy A. Schumacher, and Ryan M. Sosnowski. Emma Aros, Branch Manager/ Secretary-Treasurer Tel: 440-282-8700 Branch 35 - Detroit, Michigan Advent Tea By now the Advent tea party at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Allen Park has become an annual event, which many ladies of the church, the community and our branch look forward to attending with much anticipation. This year, the festive afternoon was held on November 21, 2002, when we again shared fellowship and enjoyed beautiful music played by Elemér and Léda Nagy. What a joyous way to ring in the Christmas season! Enjoying Advent Tea Sunday School Christmas Party and Play The Christmas party for the Sunday School children was held at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Allen Park on December 8, 2002. There was much excitement in the air as the children performed their play, and there was also much applause for their nice performance. Gifts were distributed and appreciated by all. Annual Branch Meeting The annual meeting of our branch was held on February 3, 2003, at the American Hungarian Reformed Church of Allen Park. We had a very successful meeting attended by 18 members and guests of our branch.
