Csűrdöngölő is a troupe of 30 amateur dancers, mostly students and young professionals, rooted in New Brunswick, New Jersey’s American-Hungarian community. They do not earn their living by dancing but do it for the love of Hungarian folk dances and music and for their desire to spread Hungarian culture worldwide. The dancers have studied Hungarian folk dance styles with several dance experts from Transylvania, Hungary, and North America, paying for their instructors, choreographers and costumes by dancing at weddings, festivals and Hungarian balls.
