Page 16 TESTVÉRISÉG The 2nd Annual William Aros Memorial Golf Tournament The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America held its 2nd Annual William Aros Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 12,2000 at Champion Lakes Golf Course in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. The busy weekend started with a special Board meeting on Friday. Later that evening the Bethlen Home treated all early arrivers, Board members and spouses to a cook- out. Thirty-five people registered for golfing. Prior to tee off, a devotion was led by Rt. Rev. Zoltán D. Szucs, Rev. Stefan Torok and Rev. Imre Bertalan. In our prayers we remembered the late William Aros, Honorary Vice President, and this year we honored William Szucs, Honorary Vice President. The weather was great, and by 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon all golfers and guests (a total of 64) gathered at the clubhouse for a delicious meal, followed by the recognition of the winners. All participants were presented with a gift in recognition of their participation in this wonderful outing and fellowship. A very big Thank-you to Jimmy Szuch, Chairman of the Golf Committee, for his efforts in putting this tournament and banquet in motion. We all had a good time. Special thanks to Dr. Richard Aros and family for their primary sponsorship. The total proceeds from this event, an amount of $3,800, benefited the HRFA Student Aid & Loan Fund.
