The Convention authorized the next Board of Directors to look into publishing up to 500 copies of the historical 100,h Anniversary Album of the HRFA in Hungarian and that an expense up to $5,000 be approved. Seconded by Delegate Demeter. 5. The Board of Directors hire a qualified individual(s) as National Sales Director, Fraternal Activities Director and/or Marketing Director who provide measurable results to the Board of Directors. Seconded by V.P. Morey. Unanimously accepted. 6. The following annual donations be continued and approved in the following amounts: • Hungarian Reformed Youth Camp $5,000 (Joint project of HRCA and Calvin Synod) • American Hungarian Foundation $2,000 • Advertisement in Church papers: • Magyar Egyház $ 1,000 • Reformátusok Lapja $ 1,000 • Habitat for Humanity $ 1,000 (International Chapter-Hungary) • Hungarian Scouts $2,000 • Hungarian Human Rights Foundation $2,000 An open account of up to $3,000 per year be maintained for the purpose of helping needy Hungarian churches in Hungary, Ukraine, Slovakia, Transylvania (Erdély) and old Yugoslavia and that the funds be distributed in amounts necessary at the discretion of the Executive Committee. Seconded by Director Pauli, Jr. Secretary Csornán offered a friendly amendment, seconded by Director Szucs, to increase the advertisement in Church papers by $500 for each of the two papers. V.P. Hunyady asked the committee members to voice their opinion if they agree with this amendment. By voice vote they agreed with no opposition. Director Pauli, Jr., who originally seconded the motion, also agreed. A vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously. 7. The President’s report be accepted with thanks. It is further recommended that the President be released from his responsibilities for the years 1996, 1997, 1998,1999 to the present and that he be commended for a job well done in serving the Federation. Seconded by Delegate Demeter. Unanimously accepted and applauded. V.P. Lipoczky moved and Director Szucs seconded to accept the entire report with corrections. Carried. President Dózsa called on V.P. Morey, Chairman of the Administrative Committee to present the report. The report was read by the committee’s Recording Secretary Director Szucs. The report contained the following recommendations: 1. We recommend, in connection with the production contest (Marco Island), that the Convention empowers the Executive Committee to present each winner with a monetary gift of $750.00 and a Training Tape, up to a value of $250.00. Seconded by V.P. Lipoczky. Unanimously accepted. 2. We recommend that “non-producing” agents should pay for their own license renewals. Seconded by Director Fabri. Legal Advisor Puskas, Jr. made a friendly amendment to define “non-producing” by inserting in parenthesis “zero production per past calendar year” after the words “non-producing.” A vote was taken. Unanimously approved. 3. We recommend that the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, in developing its business plan in accordance with the new By-Laws, shall use a portion of its surplus to build and improve its current field force and add new full-time/professional agents. Seconded by Director Fabri. 4. We recommend the appointment of an Ad Hoc Committee to look into the possibility of relocating the Home Office to a more economically, reasonable location. Seconded by Director Csikesz. After some discussions whether this action is needed and how it would be implemented, Director Torok offered a substitute motion: “We recommend the Board of Directors appoint an Ad Hoc Committee to look into the pros and cons of relocating the Home Office to another location.” Seconded by Delegate Patricia Morey. The committee was asked whether it would accept the substitute motion. They all voiced YES. A vote was taken on the substitute motion, which was accepted by the majority with 4 people expressing NO vote and 5 ABSTAINED. 5. We recommend that the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America make every effort to build up the youth membership and participation in our fraternal ranks and activities. Seconded by Delegate Petry. Unanimously approved. 6. We recommend that the Convention release National Secretary Endre Csornán from his responsibilities for the years of 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 to the present, with an expression of thanks and
