Page 16 TESTVÉRISÉG Branch 126 & 226, Daisy town/ Richey ville, Pennsylvania Since Daisytown and Richeyville, Pennsylvania are geographically close to each other, only a few miles away, and since the membership of these two branches worship in the same church, namely the Daisytown United Presbyterian Church, the two branches held a joint meeting. The meeting was opened with prayer by Rev. Alexander Jalso, Branch Manager, who explained to the members present that the year of 2000 was the year of the convention of the HRFA and that preparations should be made accordingly, i.e., branch members should be aware of their rights and privileges, and make suggestions and recommendations to the convention. Officers elected for 2000 were: Margaret Sarkett, President; John Sakach, Vice President; Alexander C. Jalso, Treasurer; and Irene Jalso, Secretary. Rev. Alexander Jalso, Branch Manager 724-785-4013 Branch 134, Gr. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania The annual meeting of our branch was held on December 19, 1999. It was opened by Branch President Marion Nagy, and the prayer was offered by Branch Manager Olga Darnay. A moment of silence was held for the deceased members. Cards were sent to the shut-ins; to those having anniversaries; and families with new babies. Two baskets were presented at Thanksgiving to needy families, and for Christmas we sent monetary gifts to juvenile members. Officers elected for 2000 were: Marion Nagy, President; William E. Nagy, Vice President; Olga Darnay, Treasurer; and Julia Nagy, Secretary. Olga Darnay, Branch Manager 412-466-2710 Branch 140, Canton, Ohio The meeting for the election of officers for the year of 2000 was held on December 15, 1999. Elected were: Steve Bodo, President; Steven Bodo, Vice President; Anne Dohy, Treasurer; and Margaret Ayers, Secretary. Margaret Ayers, Branch Manager 330-484-1428 Branch 151, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania Children’s Christmas Party Our annual Children’s Christmas Party was held on December 18, 1999, 2:00 p.m. at McDonald’s. The parents came with the children and everyone enjoyed the warm spirit of fellowship. We set up games, such as: pin the tail on the donkey, spin and toss, and close pins in the bottle. There was lots of laughter and excitement. While the children’s favorite dishes were being prepared, they had a grand tour of McDonald’s. When they returned, we had time set aside for prayer. At the end of our meal, a beautifully decorated cake was served in celebration of our Lord’s birth. We sang, “Happy Birthday to Jesus.” Our branch gave each child a gift of five dollars before the party ended. Saying goodbye at the end of the party brought new friendships into our lives, and we are looking forward to next year. Welcome to our Fraternal Family We are pleased to present Paul Sutkowski, one of our newest members. Paul is the son of Judy and Robert Sutkowski. We met the family at the Ellwood City Hungarian Picnic and found out that Judy is Hungarian and Robert’s background is Polish. Joe and I visited them and we had an enjoyable time together. Their son Paul is only four years old and already works on the computer. Keep up the good work, Paul! God bless! Paul Sutkowski A warm welcome is extended to Johstin and Castiney Lehman, children of Dane and Colleen Lehman. Dave is the head coach at Blackhawk High School wrestling team. Johstin is part of the wrestling youth group, he practices a lot and is very successful in tournaments. We wish him well. His sister Castiney is a fine and quiet young lady. She attends her brother’s events and is quite a cheerleader. God’s richest blessings on this young family. Peggy Fabri, Agent 724-843-6162
