Norwalk, Connecticut Annual Meeting The annual meeting of Branch 52 was held Sunday, March 7, 1999 at 10:45 a.m. in a Sunday School room of the Hungarian Reformed Church (UCC), South Norwalk. Branch President Ernest P. Virgulák opened the meeting with a prayer and announced that the main purpose was to elect officers for 1999. After a brief discussion, the current branch officers were re-elected for the coming year, naturally after having indicated their willingness to do so. Unanimously reelected were: Ernest P. Virgulák, President; Joseph Lucskay, Vice President; Joseph Singola, Treasurer; Helen E. Sontra, Recording Secretary. A trip to Atlantic City was planned and approved as a fraternal activity for Branch 52. We recognized Jennifer Kokoth as a recipient of a $500-scholarship from the HRFA’s Student Aid & Loan Fund. This is a fraternal benefit given to our members in their sophomore year in college. They must be members of the Federation for at least five years. Due to inclement weather, the meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. We were grateful that ten branch members were able to attend this important meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for November. Suzanne S. Virgulák, Secretary Pro Tem for Helen E. Sontra. For fraternal/insurance needs, please call Branch Manager Linda S. Van Buskirk: (203) 846-1999.
