Ballard who was appointed actuary by the Board of Directors of the HRFA at their Special Meeting held in July of 1999 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa honoraries. >■ Connecticut General Life Insurance Company 1958-1962, actuarial departments within the company. >- Griffith, Ballard and Company 1962-present. Partner, 1968. >- Member, American Academy of Actuaries >- Fellow, Conference of Actuaries >- Associate, Society of Actuaries Throughout his career as a consultant with Griffith, Ballard and Company, Mr. Ballard has been closely associated with fraternal benefit societies. The vast majority of his work in the past 10+ years has been with 12 fraternal clients. Mr. Ballard is married and has five children - the youngest is a freshman in college. He is active in Cedar Rapids arts community, serving on the Board of the symphony, opera and theater. He is the current president of the opera and past president of the symphony. He enjoys travel, music, cooking, University of Iowa football and basketball, and bridge. He also likes to ski, hike, play handball and tennis, some golf too. Welcome on board, Mr. Ballard!
