Page 26 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 151 - BEAVER FALLS, PENNSYLVANIA Jessi Metz, daughter of Gary and Merran Metz, was crowned 1998 Hookstown Fair Queen on August 25, 1998. The Fair is held in Hookstown, Pennsylvania, and features many events, such as tractor and truck pulls, demolition derby, horseback riding competitions and the 4-H Stockman’s livestock auction. Jessi is a junior at Hopewell High School, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. She competes in the local 4-H game classes, Penn-Ohio Barrel Shows and Team Pens with her horse. She is a member of the Vikings Influencing Peers Club and the Drug Awareness Panel at the High School. Jessi plans on attending Colorado State University and majoring in Equine Reproduction Management. Jessi was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for earning the title and will compete in Hershey, Pennsylvania, for the State Crown in January 1999. Congratulations to Jessi on the occasion of her success as the 1998 Hookstown Fair Queen. We are proud of her accomplishments and wish her our very best for the 1999 State Crown competition. On June 14, 1998, a special couple embraced one of life’s milestones and enjoyed another in September. Affectionately known as “Vali és Mackó,” Lt. Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Walter E. Parker celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with friends and family in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Mackó is the eldest daughter of our Federation’s late president Bishop Zoltán Beky. Both Vali and Mackó are active life members of the HRFA. After retiring from a military career, Vali has continued his success as a high volume realtor for Century 21 Adventure, Inc. In September, the cherished couple participated in another milestone - Vali’s 45th West Point (USMA) reunion in New York. Vali és Mackó.
