Page 6 TESTVÉRISÉG The Administrative Committee presented the following resolutions to the Board for acceptance: • That the Secretary be released from his responsibilities for the year 1997. Further, the committee expressed thanks and appreciation to the Secretary for his dedicated and conscientious work during the past year. • That the newborn child benefit of $500 continue to be offered by the Federation. This benefit be paid to the beneficiary if a newborn infant dies within 6 months. • That the age limit be raised from 70 to 80 years subject to ratification by the Convention. • That the Federation provide matching funds for fraternal activities up to $500 per year under guidelines established by the Executive Committee. • That at least 3-months’ premium accompany each new application submitted to the Federation. • That a dividend be offered to the members of the Federation subject to approval by the Washington, D.C. Insurance Commissioner. • That agents who have not shown any production for one year be required to pay for their own insurance license. • That a national golf tournament be held in 1999 in conjunction with the Ligonier Fraternal Day. This tournament will be named “The William Aros Memorial Golf Tournament,” for which financial support in the amount of $2000 is offered by Dr. Richard W. Aros. That this day be used as a membership drive. That in token of our appreciation the Board of Directors name Dr. Richard W. Aros honorary chairman of this tournament. • That a flat fee of $10.00 be paid to agents as a form of compensation upon renewal of the 5-year renewable term policy. • That the Home Office plan intensive training seminars for active agents with the participation of the new sales consultant who could share his selling experience with all participants. • That the Federation institute a member contact program in all districts. That information on this news be published in the official publication of Fraternity. • That the HRFA organize a competition among the branches to sponsor a youth activity locally with their respective branch. That each branch planning and executing this idea will receive monies as a bonus for future branch activity. That such events be submitted with pictures for publication. • That the Federation assume an active role in the work of the State Chapters of the National Fraternal Congress of America. • That the reports of the Advisors (Legal, Financial, Medical and Actuary) be amended to read “... retain their services for the calendar year of 1998.” Endre Csornán, Secretary László Kovács New Agent for Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania Branch 151 László Kovács László came to the United States from Transylvania in 1990 with his wife Katica. They have two children, Attila and Katica. László and his family reside in Beaver Falls where he is an active member and vice chief elder of the Third Avenue Calvin Reformed Church. He is a machine shop supervisor for Elbach & Johnson of Glenwillard, Pennsylvania.
