Page 6 TESTVÉRISÉG FROM THE BETHLEN HOME THE RETIREMENT COTTAGES L. to r.: Rev. Nicholas Novak, Chaplain at the Bethlen Home and Bela Toth, a one-time Washingtonian who moved to the Bethlen Home retirement village a couple of years ago. A GYERGYÓSZENTMIKLÓSI RÓMAI KATOLIKUS EGYHÁZ KÖSZÖNETÉ All of our retirement cottages are sold and occupied. We have the best community in the world where everybody loves each other and is always ready to help. We get together on the first Thursday of each month. We call our meetings, “Tea Parties.” We enjoy these meetings because it gives us an opportunity to express our thoughts, talk about our problems and give or seek advice as needed. Our topics are inexhaustible; we talk about last wills, living wills, political issues, latest news from the neighborhood, outings, good buys we have made during our shopping sprees, and of course there is a little bit of gossip. We never have a dull moment when we are together. Once every week the mini-van takes the cottage residents to town for shopping. Those who cannot go can ask the driver to shop for them. Transportation is also provided for special trips, i.e., to airports, to Latrobe or Greensburg Shopping Center, and to various doctors’ offices. Our secretaries go the extra mile to help the residents with their correspondence, bills, etc. We are very happy with all of our cottage residents and we love them dearly. Rev.
