Dr. Bölcskei Gusztáv püspök látogatása

Nagy megtiszteltetés érte a Washingtoni Református Egyházat és az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesületet 1998. szeptember 17-én. Dr. Bölcskei Gusztáv debreceni püspök, az Egyetemes Zsinat lelkészi elnöke, látogatta meg a gyülekezetei. A Kossuth Házban 5 órakor dísz-presbiteri gyűlést tartottak, ahol a püspök úr

imádkozott és nagyon szívhez szóló ígemagyarázatot tartott. Utána a jelenlévők kérdéseket tettek fel.

Majd fél 7-kor az Egyesület és az egyház vezetői és tagjai részvételével fogadást rendeztek, amelynek elején Bertalan Imre bemutatta a vendégeknek és méltatta a püspök urat, s Dózsa György meleg hangon köszöntötte, mint szintén Szatmár megye szülöttjét.

THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKET DRIVE

The combined Branches of Western Pennsylvania have chosen to donate their monetary prize from the 1 998 production contest of the HRFA to purchase turkeys to be put in food baskets for needy families. Each branch is responsible for filling the basket with non-perishable food products and for choosing a local family in need.

This fraternal activity will be published in the next issue of the Fraternity with pictures. Let's make needy families know that they are being thought of at Thanksgiving.
