Page 24 TESTVÉRISÉG Johnathan " Jack" Nicholas Mischák BRANCH 182 - FLINT, MICHIGAN Branch President John Koncz opened the annual branch meeting at 2:00 p.m. on November 26, 1997. Branch Man­ager Tibor Nagy offered the prayer. It was reported that the branch sold twelve insurance policies during 1997, donations were made to the Heritage Church for pews, members participated in bake and sausage sales to benefit the church and shut-ins were visited at Clio Convalescent Center. Our branch will continue visiting the shut-ins at Clio Convalescent Center as well as the sick at the hospital. We are also planning a Christmas party. Officers elected for 1998 were: John Koncz, President; Robert Nagy, Vice President; Tracy Koncz, Treasurer; Pearl G. Young, Secretary. Joseph Berei, Branch Manager BRANCH 198 - LIGONIER, PENNSYLVANIA The annual meeting of our branch was held at 2:00 p.m. on January 9, 1998. Our Branch Manager Edith Kovács re­ported that we lost James Harsanyi, a long-standing and very beloved member of our branch. She wished to thank all who offered their hands to help our sick and shut-in members. In 1997, we had Christmas parties as well as an Easter party for our residents and members. Officers elected for 1998 were: Rev. Paul Kovács, Presi­dent; Esther Berkey, Vice President; Elizabeth Kastal, Trea­surer; Edith Szep, Secretary. The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m. Edith Kovács, Branch Manager Paul T. Kovács Earns Doctoral Degree Paul T. Kovács Paul T. Kovács, Vice President of Operations for Cov­enant Care Corporation, Pittsburgh’s largest Healthcare pro­vider and a national long term healthcare organization has most recently earned the Doctoral Degree in Health Care Ad­ministration. Dr. Kovács who was bom in Amsterdam, Holland, has been employed in health care administration for approximately 17 years and has expertise in acute, subacute, and long-term care and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in four states. He received his Bachelors Degree from Waynesburg College in Business Administration, his Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Ohio University and Doc­toral of Philosophy from Century University in Health Care Administration. Dr. Kovács presented his dissertation on National Managed Health Care for the Elderly. Paul is the son of Mrs. and Reverend Paul Kovács, who is Executive Director of the Bethlen Home, the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America’s premier nursing home and retirement community in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Paul attributes his interest in the field of health care delivery to his father.
