1 Page 10 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 93 - WHARTON, NEW JERSEY The annual meeting of our branch was held on March 2, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. László Dallos opened the meeting followed by a prayer by Steve Vajda. In 1996 the branch had a very successful Christmas party at the Wharton Hungarian Presbyterian Church, and plans are already underway for this year’s event. Officers elected for 1997 are: László Dallos, President; Anikó Vajda, Vice President; Steve Vajda, Treasurer; Jolán Szmetena Secretary. We are pleased to introduce the youngest member of our branch, Brianna Marie Earl, bom May 16,1996. Brianna is the daughter of Robert and Cheryl Earl and the granddaughter of Richard and Eileen Pasake. We are very grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Pasake who bought HRFA life insurance policies for all their children and grandchildren. We wish God’s blessings on Brianna, her parents and grandparents. Jolán Szmetena, Branch Secretary Young and old join together for a memorable Christmas party organized by Branch 69 BRANCH 69 - COLUMBUS, OHIO On December 26, 1996, following the English service at the Hungarian Reformed Church, Columbus, Ohio, Branch 69 held its Christmas party in the beautifully decorated fellowship hall. About 40 members and their children had a wonderful time under the sponsorship and planning of Branch Manager Irma Camevale. Rev. István Nyeste offered grace. The adults and children danced the Macarena and other line dancing to video instructions. There were games and lots of nice prizes and cash gifts from the Branch Manager to each juvenile. It seemed that no one was in a hurry to go home - we had a lot of good, delicious food, a lot of fun, but most of all it was the atmosphere of sincere fratemalism that made this event so special.
