George Dózsa, President of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, was called upon to extend greetings and best wishes from the HRFA. In so doing he took the opportunity to present a grant from the Student Aid and Loan Fund to member Laura Ann Melanson who is in her second year at Kean University in the Fine Arts/Teacher Degree Program. Our affair was graced by the attendance of Matilda Dózsa and Vice President László Lipoczky and his wife Anna. (Paul and Martin, sons the late Paul Gyukeri). The Very Reverend Basil Rakaczky gave a brief history of St. Michael’s Church and how the events paralleled those of the St. George Catholic Union. He concluded the luncheon with Benediction and the singing of our traditional hymn asking God to grant all in attendance many years in health and happiness. Production Proposal Promoted At the Spring Board of Directors Meeting, Director Michael Pauli, Jr. presented a Production Proposal concerning increased production. The proposal was to initiate a pilot program in New Jersey, which would be divided into five groups, each headed by a local director. If successful, serious consideration would be given by the Executive Committee of the HRFA to adopt the plan in all branches of the Federation. Three and one half months into the six-month program, production is up 66% and premium income is up 214% in Director Pauli’s group. Combined figures from all groups will be posted at the end of January 1998. The proposal also presented our Directors an opportunity to meet more often with their branch managers, agents and area managers. The additional communication between parties would result in a more cohesive Field Force, one which would be more capable of meeting the challenges that exist in today’s market. An update on this program will be forthcoming in our next issue. The above photo presents three of the four branch managers in Director Pauli’s group. Seated: Fred Erdei, Manager of Br. 33, standing behind him are Theodore Harsaghy, Manager of Br. 368 and Margaret Pauli, Manager of Br. 250 and 501. Deneice Oroszvary, Manager of Br. 20, is missing from the photo but later participated in the meeting. The photo was taken at the very first meeting of Director Pauli’s group at the Travel Guide office of Fred Erdei. Michael Pauli, Jr., Director, St. George District - Br. 501
