FRATERNITY Page 5 FROM THE SECRETARY’S OFFICE SYNOPSIS of RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED at the BOARD MEETING MARCH 18-22,1996 The Board resolved that: >- To increase participation of our youth at the church camp, the Federation recommend to the organizers, namely the Calvin Synod and the Flungarian Reformed Church in America, to lower the age of the participants. If the recommendation is accepted, the Federation will raise its yearly contribution to the camp. >- The Board authorize the Executive Committee to replace the present software system with a more advanced one. The cost is not to exceed $4,000. >- The following donations be granted: 1. Five thousand dollars be given to the Transylvania Tractor Fund, including the $2,500 already approved and budgeted in 1995. 2. American Hungarian Foundation $2,000. 3. Church camps (Calvin Synod and Magyar Reformed Church) $2,000 each. 4. First Hungarian Reformed Church of Los Angeles $300. 5. Shipment of books to Kiskun Hallas High School $300. 6. Habitat for Humanity International, Jimmy Carter Work Project, Hungary 1996, $1,000. 7. Three hundred dollars to underwrite one spring event at the McKeesport Hungarian Social Club. >- Since the Board of the Directors of the American Hungarian Foundation honored the Federation at the 33rd Carousel Ball, the annual donation of the Federation be increased by $1,000. >- The cost of publication of the 100th anniversary book be approved and that 1,000 copies be published. > The Federation discontinue our operations in the States of Virginia, West Virginia and Florida.
