FRATERNITY Page 19 BRANCH 2 - CLEVELAND, OH Our annual meeting was held at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Walton Hills, Ohio on December 31, 1995, 1:00 P.M. Branch President Joseph Kovach opened the meeting, and Rev. Frank Endrei offered the prayer. The treasurer reported a balance on hand of $769.44. Branch Member Cindy Smith made a motion to reelect the same slate of officers. This was seconded by Robert Szabó and motion carried. Officers for 1996 are: Joseph Kovács, President; Susan Vizsolyi, Vice President; Ann Kovach, Treasurer- Secretary; Ed Szabó, Auditor. The meeting adjourned at 1:30 P.M. Julia Reitz, Branch Manager BRANCH 3 - FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH The annual meeting of our branch was held on November 14, 1995 at 7:00 P.M. It was opened with a prayer by Branch President Rev. Louis Medgyesi. Motion was made by James Varga to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as read. This was seconded by Robert Bihary and motion carried. The treasurer reported a balance on hand of $225.16. Motion was made to accept the report of Maryann Medgyesi which was seconded by Ed Bihary and motion carried. All members of the branch were urged to update their policies. New member Anna C. Simko was welcomed. Election of officers followed. Elected for 1996 are: Rev. Louis Medgyesi, President; Louis Medgyesi, Vice President; James Varga, Treasurer; Elizabeth Ticel, Secretary. The date for the delegate election meeting was set for April 14, 1996. If the attendance is not met at that meeting, a second election will be held on April 28, 1996 at the Fairport Harbor Hungarian Reformed Church at 603 Plum Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077. In 1995 we paid weekly visits to the sick and shut-ins and volunteered our time at the Manor Care Facility. We helped the local church with fundraisers and attended and worked at the Annual Church Harvest Festival. We participated together with the Pastor and the Branch President at the Pearl Harbor Day celebration on December 7th and distributed baskets for the needy. Our projects for 1996 will include fundraisers for local charities and helping at the Daily Breakfast service for children at the local elementary level, “The Breakfast Bunch,” which is a local ecumenical project. We will also continue distributing food baskets for the needy. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 P.M. The next meeting is scheduled for April 14, 1996. Elizabeth Ticel, Secretary 'S^Yeuti BRANCH 4 - CLEVELAND, OH The annual meeting was held at our Branch Manager Jolán Abel’s home on December 9, 1995 at 2:30 P.M. It was opened by Susan Szabó, with Tibor Toth offering the opening prayer. In May 1995 our branch held a successful card party attended by a good number of members, and in December we had our annual Christmas party attended by 14 children. We discussed plans for the 100th anniversary banquet of the Federation, and we are determined to make it a success. We look forward to the Sárospatak choir which will be performing in Cleveland in April 1996. Officers elected for 1996 are: Susan Szabó, President; Julie Leszko, Vice President; Jolán Abel, Treasurer; Eva Menyhárt, Secretary. The delegate election meeting was set for April 7, 1996, 3:00 P.M. at Jolán Abel’s home on 1521 Parmalee Drive, Seven Hills, Ohio. Susan Szabó, President BRANCH 6 - HOMESTEAD, PA Alex Bajusz opened the annual meeting of our branch on September 30, 1995. Joseph Csikesz offered the opening prayer. The treasurer’s report was read by Clara V. Csikesz. The new members of the branch were greeted, and names of young members who graduated and received student aid grants listed. In 1995 we organized dinners and held branch meetings. Projects for 1996 will include visitations of elderly members and donation of food to the needy. The election of officers followed. Elected were: Alex Bajusz, President; Bela Csikesz, Vice President, Clara V. Csikesz, Treasurer. The next meeting is scheduled for May 25, 1996.
