FRATERNITY Page 25 STUDENT NEWS Continued OFC. JAMES E. PARKER months, I signed up for “home-study” classes and started a second full-time position at another company to help pay for my new goals. In the past twelve months, I have attended and completed thirty-seven credit hours, maintaining above a 3.1 GPA and have worked an average of sixty-five hours a week. This schedule is hectic, but I know this investment in time, money, and determination will reap an abundance of benefits in the near future. I plan to extend my efforts at George Mason University to complete a Bachelor’s program in the Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems. I have chosen this program because of its highly competitive nature and, of course, the economic demand for such professionals. At twenty—seven years of age, I have endured many of life’s unpredictable twists and turns, but without these events, I would not be able to fully appreciate the joy and happiness that life also brings. I thank the HRFA for placing my goals another step closer. The monies will have a significant impact on my educational requirements and the funds will be used accordingly. I believe it would be unjust to end this letter without extending my gratitude to my sister, Lori, for the information concerning this grant, and to my family for their support, encouragement, and for surrounding me with the powerful heritage that we all share.” IN MEMORIAM The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America would like to express its sympathy to the families and friends of the following members who passed away recently.
