Page 20 TESTVÉRISÉG IN MEMORIAM STEVE MISKOLCZI 1910-1994 A well-known resident of Ellwood City (Ellport), son-in-law of the late John Bakty (Branch Manager of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for many years) passed away November 30, 1994. Steve was born in the coal mining region of Pennsylvania, Jefferson County. He worked in the coal mines in his teens, was employed at Steel Car Forge in Ellwood City, and then worked for forty years for the U.S. Steel Company. He also worked as an usher in a funeral home for 15 years. Steve was a charter member of the Ellport Presbyterian Church (formerly Hungarian). He served as a trustee, chief elder, Sunday school teacher, and was on the building, dinner and fund raising committees. He was an avid bowler. Steve was also a member and past president of the local chapter of the AARP. He belonged to the Hungarian Home. He was a street commissioner for 50 years, he served on the Ellport Council, and was instrumental in getting sewers in that community. He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for over 60 years. Steve was a deeply religious man, and the Lord loved him by giving him a devoted wife, Elizabeth, for 60 years. The Lord blessed their marriage with three children. He was born in this country, but remained true to his Magyar heritage and the Reformed faith of his parents. Steve was a true believer in the Lord, and we know that he reached the Promised Land. Farewell, Steve, until we meet again. Endre Csornán, Secretary SECOND CLASS POSTAGE PAID WASHINGTON, D.C.
