Page 20 TESTVÉRISÉG Student Áld In this section of the Fraternity, we are happy to share with our readers letters we have received from recipients of our Student Aid grant. We are proud of our gifted young members, and we thank our Directors, Branch Managers and Agents for their assistance in helping them become aware of this benefit. Linda Hornyak, to thank the HRFA for the Student Aid Scholarship. I greatly appreciate this award, and I know that it will go a long way in furthering my college education. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Maria Kovács for my recommendation. Presently, I am a junior at the University of Pittsburgh and pursuing a dual major in the areas of business and French. After graduating in 1995, I plan to work as an accountant. Once again, I would like to thank th HRFA for their support and this wonderful opportunity.” Linda was recommended by Maria Kovács, Branch Manager Rose Hannah Kentala, Member of Br. 35: “I would like to thank the HRFA for their generous gift of student aid. I would also like to thank Samuel Vespremi, Director of Michigan, and Ethel Teghze Gerber, Manager of Branch 35, for recommending me for this scholarship. Returning to college after an absence of 20 years has many special challenges but also many special rewards. I am now a senior at Wayne State University and will soon graduate with a degree in history. My love of history carries over to my word as a historical interpreter at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. My jobs of being a “cooper”, “grist miller”, and “printer” show that a career in history cannot only be interesting, but also fun. My interest in archeology was also furthered while a student at Wayne State. I participated in a 16- week “dig” at historic Fort Wayne in Detroit. The experience was very interesting for me and allowed me to actively participate in historic preservation. Following the completion of my degree, I hope to further my study and interest in archeology as well as museum work. This Student Aid Benefit is greatly appreciated since my daughters, Jamie and Julie, are also college students. Tuition and books for three can be very expensive, so your very generous scholarship has enabled me to attend class and buy books for the fall semester. Thank you again for your support and encouragement of a student who is returning to college and pursuing a very fulfilling goal.” Rose Hannah was recommended by Director Samuel Vespremi and Branch Manager Ethel Teghze Gerber Rose Hannah Kentala
