I would also like to express my appreciation to Sandra Peclet, Branch Mananger, for her assistance. The gift will be applied to the cost of my education at the Pennsylvania State University where I am a Junior majoring in Elementary Education. My ambitions are to become a 3rd grade teacher at a nearby school district. Cathy Toth I am involved in many activities at Penn State, including the special events committee, softball, and I am a recent member of Campus Crusade for Christ. Again, the Student Aid gift is greatly appreciated." Cathy was recommended by Mrs. Sandra Peclet, Branch Manager VICTORIA A. VARGA, member of Br. 62, was recommended by our Branch Manager Maria Kovács. Victoria's letter to Rev. Bertalan: "I wanted to take this time to thank the HRFA, my sponsor, Mrs. Maria Kovács, and yourself for contributing to the support of my higher education costs. I attend Paradise Valley and will complete my Associates of Transfer degree in the Spring of 1991. Being a full time student, I also find time to have a part time job. I work in a chiropractic office which is very service oriented in nature. Through my job, I am able to participate in church related activities such as food drives. Annually, our office sponsors a food drive for the Paradise Valley Assistance Team. I am responsible for the organization and the promotion of the food drive. I not only help organize, but I also make food donations. While attending Paradise Valley Community College, I became aware of other community projects that can use my assistance. Therefore, I have donated my time to the Child Crisis Nursery Center which is a shelter for the abused and neglected children. As a volunteer, I spend time with the children giving them much needed attention and helping them with everyday routines such as feeding them. The other community project I participate in is the Andre House. The Andre House is a project to feed the homeless from donated foods. I go down to the Andre House when I have a chance between school and work. While down there, I help prepare the food and then set up to serve the food. There are approximately 800 people to feed in one night. I really enjoy feeding the homeless because of the satisfaction seen in the eyes of the homeless when they receive their food.
