FRATERNITY Page 17 BRANCH 17—So. Bend, IN The Vice President-Secretary of Branch 17 had the honor and good fortune of being the first to insure twin baby girls. Amy and Brittany Hesch were 7 months old when they became members. On August 14, Branch 17 along with Branches 62, 84 and 176 held an HRFA annual picnic. The first of future picnics to be held in good fellowship. The picnic was held on the St. Elijah Church picnic grounds in Merrillville, IN, and we had an attendance of 250 to 300 persons, despite the 90 degree heat wave. Not knowing how successful our first picnic would be, President Rev. Bertalan came to our assistance with the good seed money, which did help us and we thank you President Bertalan. All who attended enjoyed the good food. The music by the Polks Gents started at 4:00 p.m. and dancing and fellowship continued till closing at 8:00 p.m. All enjoyed a good time and we are looking forward to our next picnic, as this one was a great success. Helen Modory, Branch Manager Amy & Brittany Hesch BRANCH 22—Youngstown, OH The annual Fall Bazaar was held on Sunday, October 16, 1988 at the Calvin Center Auditorium of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, OH. Branch Manager John K. Morey and his wife Patricia were on the bazaar committee which helped plan the event and also worked in the kitchen where approx. 250-275 chicken and stuffed cabbage dinners were served. Many members of the branch helped with the many activities during the bazaar which included baking, cooking, noodle-making, selling crafts and bingo. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the fellowship of the day. We are looking forward to our annual Winter Festival which will be in February 1989. John K. Morey, Branch Manager BRANCH LIFE-OSZTÁLY ÉLET Ground Breaking Ceremony conducted by Steve Dohányos, President of the Hungarian Reformed Sick Benefit Society BRANCH 31-Lorain, OH The ground breaking ceremony to erect a building to house the Hungarian Reformed Church Sick Benefit Society and its Federal Credit Union in Lorain, Ohio, was held in March 1988.
