FRATERNITY Page 15 ELECTION DAY The elections took place on Friday, September 23, 1988. The President appointed William Puskas, Jr. as Temporary Chairman for the duration of the election. Chairperson Suzanne Virgulák introduced the Report of the NOMINATING COMMITTEE. ELECTION FOR: PRESIDENT: The following names were nominated: Imre Bertalan, Joseph Tegze, George Dózsa, Paul Kantor, Stefan Torok, Stephen Szilagyi. Joseph Tegze, George Dózsa, Paul Kantor, Stefan Torok, Stephen Szilagyi asked that their names be withdrawn. The Temporary Chairman declared Imre Bertalan elected President by acclamation and asked the recording secretary to cast the ballot. VICE PRESIDENT-SECRETARY: Joseph Tegze, George Dózsa, Paul Kantor, Albert St. Miklosy and Stephen Szilagyi had been nominated. Albert St. Miklosy and Stephen Szilagyi asked that their names be withdrawn. George Dózsa was declared elected as Vice President-Secretary by the Temporary Chairman. TREASURER: William B. Puskas was nominated. With no other nominations, the Temporary Chairman declared William B. Puskas elected as Treasurer by acclamation. VICE PRESIDENTS (3 to be elected by plurality): Nominated by the Nominating Committee: Dezső Abraham, Endre Csornán, Priscilla Hunyady, Suzanne Virgulák, and from the floor Stefan Torok, Albert St. Miklosy. Suzanne Virgulák, Dezső Abraham, Endre Csornán were declared elected as Vice Presidents by the Temporary Chairman. DIRECTOR FROM NEW YORK-CONNECTICUT (1 to be elected by plurality): Nominated were Gabor Csordás, Elvira Petry, Louis Reszoly. Gabor Csordás was declared elected as Director from New York-Connecticut by the Temporary Chairman. Elvira Petry was declared as elected Alternate Director. DIRECTORS FROM NEW JERSEY (2 to be elected): Nominated were Priscilla Hunyady, László Lipoczky, Gabor Nitsch, Barna Roczey, Fred Erdei, from the floor Joseph Tegze, Albert St. Miklosy. Since there was a tie vote between Priscilla Hunyady and Joseph Tegze, the Temporary Chairman cast his deciding vote for Priscilla Hunyady, and declared that László Lipoczky and Priscilla Hunyady were elected as Directors from New Jersey. Joseph Tegze and Gabor Nitsch were declared elected as Alternate Directors. DIRECTORS FROM WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA (2 to be elected): The following were nominated: Nicholas Novak, Clara Csikesz, Joseph Király, Alexander Jalso. Nicholas Novak and Clara Csikesz were declared as elected Directors from Western Pennsylvania by the Temporary Chairman. Alexander Jalso and Joseph Király were declared elected as Alternate Directors. DIRECTORS FROM OHIO (2 to be elected): The following were nominated: Edward Szabó, Joseph Abel, Margaret Dubos, László Kernes, Louis Medgyesy, Aladar Solymosi, Zoltán Szucs. Louis Medgyesy and Aladar Solymosi were declared as Directors from Ohio by the Temporary Chairman. John Morey and Edward Szabó were declared elected as Alternate Directors.
