FRATERNITY Page 21 BRANCH 352—CLEVELAND, OH Martha Reka Kur has been a member of the HRFA for 17 years. She was born April 28, 1970, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Csaba A. and Marta Kur. She will graduate from Warren Western Reserve High School on June 16, 1988. She is a 2-year member of the National Honor Society, a member of the high school Drama Club, Biology Club, International Club, Chinese Club, "Just Say No" Club, Senior Editor of the Yearbook, and recognized in Who's Who Among American High School Students. She was the delegate to the Hugh O'Brien Leadership Seminar and also to Buckeye Girls' State. Her other activities include being an American Red Cross volunteer, Vice President of Junior Achieve­ment, and a member of the Trumbull Peace Council. Martha will enter the University of Akron in the fall and study biology and chemistry. She would like a career in the field of genetics. BRANCH 369-MANHATTAN, NY On March 6,1988 a meeting was held for the election of the 1988 officers. A meeting for the election of branch officers was held at the Hungarian Presbyterian Church, Welland, Ontario, Canada, on March 20, 1988 at noon. There were nine members present: John Fodo, President; Rev. Louis Kereztury Aday, Secretary-Treasurer; Steve David, Ilona Kovács, Monika Kovács, Bert Miklósi, Eliz. Miklósi, Elizabeth Veress and Stephen Kereztury Aday, members. President John Fodo asked Rev. Aday to say a prayer and after that he announced that he would resign. His resignation was accepted with regrets and thanks were expressed for his devotion to the cause of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. Rev. Aday made the motion that Mr. Steve David should be elected President, his wife, Margaret David, Secretary and Mr. Joseph Kovács be retained as Vice President. This motion was seconded by Mr. Miklósi and passed unanimously. No other business was brought before the meeting. Rev. Aday moved that the meeting be adjourned. His motion was seconded by Bert Miklósi and was passed by all members present. MOLNÁR JÓZSEF DÍJ A montreáli McGill Egyetem orosz tanszékének keretében tíz éve működik a magyarságtudományi kurzus. Egyetemi színvonalon lehet magyar nyelvet, történelmet és irodalmat tanulni. A nyugati világ talán legnagyobb létszámú egyetemi magyar tanfolyama ez. Evek óta vannak a legjobb tanulmányi ered­ményeket elérő diákok számára különböző díjak a montreáli Református Nőegylet, a Bethlen Gábor Irodalmi Kör, Bazsó Ferenc, Fábián Bert és Kövecses Ferenc, a montreáli Magyar Mérnökegyesület és a Magyar Gazdasági Tanács jóvoltából.
