A következő lelkészek voltak jelen: Dr. Bertalan Imre, Dr. Komjáthy Aladár, Dr. Osterhaven Jenő, Bodor Péter Pál, Posta József, ifj. Vigh Gyula, Szép Róbert, Varga Ferenc, Vizi István kecskeméti lelkész, a Grand Rapids-i Calvin Collegium cserediákja. A perselyben 150 dollár gyűlt össze, amit teljes egészében két Erdélyben nyomorgó magyar család élelmiszercsomagjára fordítunk. Happy Birthday to our Special Poem Writer, Mrs. Adam Hohvart, (see Fraternity, 4th Quarter 1987), member of the Federation, who turned 95 on January 17, 1988. Isten Áldása legyen vele. Our Ladies Aid officers and Federation members visited Mrs. Hohvart and her son James. We presented her with a beautiful floral arrangement of silk flowers in a basket. In February, we will also visit Mrs. Benjamin Szadai who will be 98 years old. Isten Áldása legyen vele is. We will also take her a floral arrangement. I had the extreme pleasure of being invited to the Resettlement Casserole Dinner at the Calvin Center on December 7, 1987 at 6:00 p.m. Our President of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, Rev. Imre Bertalan, flew in from Washington, D.C. to present a generous check to the Resettlement Student Janos Molnár. As I sat there listening to the words of concern of these Resettlement people, a loving warm feeling entered my heart. That such a great compassion was being shown to these poor refugees who had to flee their country because it was no longer safe to stay there. The Bible says, "Love Thy Neighbor" and indeed these Resettlement workers practice those deeds. Diligently planning every minute detail to make these people comfortable and settling them in their new home here in the Land of Opportunity and Our Great Country, the United States of America.
