Page 14 TESTVÉRISÉG AMERICA'S AMAZING HUNGARIANS Stephen Sisa The foreword by Rev. Imre Bertalan in Sisa's book reads as follows: "AMERICA'S AMAZING HUNGARIANS" lists individual Hungarians in America — men and women who left their mark on America and the world. The author seeks to single out contributions made by these people in the fields of art, science and technology that became a part of everyday life in America. He then turns the conscience of America to one of the darkest developments of the Post War era in Europe, namely the dismemberment of a nation, which resulted in the forceful assimilation of Hungarian minorities in the Carpathian basin. The question can rightfully be raised: "How can it happen that people who have contributed so much to mankind's progress are subjected to the most bitter struggle for ethnic survival?" Stephen Sisa, who is a veteran writer, former editor of Free World Review, and author of the bestseller, "The Spirit of Hungary," is a native of the Carpathian basin and is therefore well-qualified to deal with the subject. He is objective when it comes to facts and sensitive to the plight of a "Nation Without Boundaries." These qualifications come through in his writings." The HRFA endorsed the publication and purchased 1000 copies for its own use and distribution. President Bertalan's following comments appear on the cover page: "In AMERICA'S AMAZING HUNGARIANS, the author turns the spotlight on the super-achievers. His narration, however, could not include the amazing story of the countless unknown heroes whose lives were spent in the mines and factories of North America during the struggling years of the industrial revolution. The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is a true representative of the 1.6 million American-Hungarians whose forefathers and fathers were the founders of Hungarian communities throughout North America. It represents freedom- loving people who are an integral part of "A Nation Without Boundaries." Sisa's work will help our members and readers to strengthen their ethnic identity and responsibility."
