Page 14 TESTVÉRISÉG Kathy Csornán, daughter of Director Endre and Ar­lene Csornán, graduated from Blackhawk High School in June. Kathy was very active in high school, writing for the school pa­per and participating in Student Council. She was chosen as Lions Club Girl of the month for October, 1984 and was a mem­ber of the National Honor Society. She also served as a cheerleader for four years, was a member of the Prom Court and had the honor of being chosen as the 1984 Homecoming ueen of Black- hawk High School. Kathy was also privileged to be serving her Lord as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher. She is now attending Lycoming College in Williamsport. God Bless all of our graduates in their future endeavors. Members and friends of Branch 151 attended an outing at the Bethlen Home in August. A luncheon was served and Rev. and Mrs. Paul Ko­vács conducted a tour of the facilities and the retirement homes. A lovely time was had by all. The beauty and the grace of this beautiful Home nestled in the hills of Ligonier is a legacy of com­passion and Christian concern envisioned in the hearts of our Hungarian forefathers. BRANCH 259 - Los Angeles, CA A meeting of the Hungarian Reformed Federa­tion of America, Branch 259, was held May 28, 1985 at the home of the Branch Manager, Mar­garet H. Saltzer. The meeting was called to order by President Katherine N. Hickey. Opening prayer was offered by the Rev. Sándor Patocs. Under old business, the Branch Manager gave a brief review of the National Convention in September 1984, reiterating the Proclamation by the National President, and commenting on min­utes and events of the Convention. The meeting continued with a statement of purpose of the present meeting by President Kath­erine Hickey as follows: 1. To fulfill requirement of a fraternal organi­zation 2. To elect Branch officers for 1985 3. To inform members of national plans 4. To plan local activities Next on the agenda was the election of Branch officers for 1985 with the following results: Re- election of president — Katherine Hickey; vice president — István Szász; secretary — The Rev. Sándor Patocs; controller — Margaret H. Saltzer. Elected to the office of Treasurer — Tunde Garai. Branch meeting — partial group Seated: Margaret Saltzer, Katherine Hickey; Stand­ing: Rev. A. Szabó, Rev. and Mrs. S. Patocs, G. S. De Bodnar. The Branch Manager informed members of the following national plans: Involvement in the resto­ration of the Statue of Liberty project. A motion was made and carried to take a collection at this meeting with the result that $125.00 was col­lected. The persons giving donation is acknowl­edged with other Federation members donations.
