BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MARCH 11-15, 1985 WASHINGTON, D.C.

FIRST DAY - MARCH 11, 1985

1 — The meeting was opened at 9:30 A.M. by President Imre Bertalan with the singing of a hymn and a short devotional service. In our prayers he remembered Rev. László Hunyady, father of Director Priscilla Hunyady along with other deceased members since our last meeting. Our prayers were also offered for those that are sick and that the ever watchful eye of Almighty God be with them on their road to recovery.

Following the devotions, the pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Director Joseph E. Benedek.

2 — The oath of office was administered to László Lipoczky who is replacing Joseph F. Tegze in the New Jersey district. Following the oath, Director Lipoczky was given a warm welcome by his fellow directors and in turn thanked them and looks forward to promoting the work of our Federation as a member of the board.

3 — In accordance with the By-Laws, Paragraph 30, a Recording Secretary must be elected for the next four years.

RESOLUTION 1

IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY PASSED THAT E. E. VARGO, VICE PRESIDENT-SECRETARY, BE THE RECORDING SECRETARY OF THE BOARD FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS.

4 — The Recording Secretary called the roll with the following regular and advisory members present, constituting a quorum:

National Officers: Imre Bertalan, President; E. E. Vargo, V.P. Secretary; William B. Puskas, Treasurer.

Vice Presidents: Dezső Abraham, George Dózsa, Suzanne Virgulák.
