Page 22 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 269 - PERTH AMBOY, NJ The meeting on Sunday, February 26, 1984 was opened with prayer by Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz, Pastor Emeritus of the congregation, who was visiting from California. Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz introduced Rev. Béla Poznan, the newly-elected pastor of the John Calvin Church, and his wife, Julianna. Nominations were made and the following officers were unanimously elected by the members of Branch 269: President — Rev. Béla Póznán; Vice- President — Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz; Secretary — Julianna Póznán; Controller — Albert Docs. An invitation was extended to all the members of the branch to attend the Consistory Dinner at the church following the meeting. The Members of the branch were also asked to see Mrs. Póznán about anything concerning the Federation. Julianna Póznán bers of the HRFA and have been for many years. The slate of branch officers for 1983 were renominated and unanimously re-elected. They are: Vice President — Rev. D. Trombitás; Br. Mgr.-Secretary — Tibor Dolinszky; Controller — Karl Pall. Bela Ferencz was nominated as 2nd Vice President. Mr. Dolinszky remarked that according to his knowledge, there is no such officership established for the branches, but the motion was carried with the justification that Mr. Ferencz is á very well known and respected artist in the local Hungarian community and his election would only add to the prestige of the Branch. The members decided that the Convention Delegate and Alternate Election Meeting of the Branch will be held at the same location on May 27, 1984. Meeting adjourned. Tibor Dolinszky BRANCH 313 - LINDEN, NJ BRANCH 379 - HOLLYWOOD, CA The meeting of Branch 379 was held at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Hollywood on the 22nd day of January, 1984 immediately following the religious service of the congregation. Branch Manager Tibor Dolinszky opened the meeting and asked the Rev. D. Trombitás to offer a prayer. The prayer was in the Hungarian language. The secretary announced that the item on the agenda is the election of Branch officers for the ensuing year of 1984. Since our past Branch President, Ferenc Jinda moved from the Los Angeles area, special “Thanks” were extended to him for the many years of service. Tibor Kardos was nominated for president, was seconded and unanimously elected. Mr. Kardos accepted the presidency. Mr. Dolinszky remarked that not only Mr. Kardos, but his whole family are mem(Balról:) Ferenc Béla, Nt. Trombitás Dezső, alel- nökök, Dolinszky Tibor, oszt. titkár, Páll Károly, ellenőr, Kardos Tibor, osztályelnök. 1984. január 8 déli 12:10-kor nyitotta meg az osztálygyűlést Ruszkay László elnök és felkérte Nt. Hunyadi Lászlót az ima elmondására. Az elnök jelentette a megjelent tagoknak, hogy meghívó érkezett a továbbképző gyűlésre Nt. Bertalan Imre elnöktől, az 1983. december 10-én New Brunswickba tartandó, az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület konvenciójára történő delegátus választás alkalmából. Az elnök jelentette, hogy az osztály minden tagja eleget tett minden fizettségi kötelezettségének, s hogy negyedévenként tartják meg az osztálygyűlést. Az osztályvezető jelentette, hogy a továbbképző gyűlésen hárman vettek részt és sok értékes tanácsot kaptak, ugyanakkor felkérték Hunyadi Piroskát, hogy tartson egy előadást az elkövetkező hasonló jellegű gyűlésen. A tagok megköszönték Ruszkay László elnöknek, hogy 10 éven át hűségesen vezette és szolgálta osztályunkat és Egyesületünket. Isten áldását kérjük további szolgálataira és életére. Az osztályvezető ezután ismertette Nt. Bertalan Imre elnök leveleit a teendőkről. A közgyűlés megválasztotta az 1984-es évre a tisztviselőket. Elnök: Batiz Ambrus, alelnök: Hunyadi Piroska, osztály- vezető Nt. Hunyadi László, jegyző: Nt. Hunyadi László, ellenőr: Nt. Hunyadi Lászlóné. Kiemelkedő társadalmi eseményként nevezte meg az osztálygyűlés az 1983. november 11-én tartott Országos Protestáns Bálon való részvételt, mely Ke- let-Amerikában a legszebb társadalmi összejövetelt jelenti. A Protestáns Bál jövedelmét minden évben a magyar egyetemi hallgatók segélyezésére fordítják. Az osztálygyűlés Nt. Hunyadi László imájával zárult.
