1 Page 14 BRANCH 62 - HAMMOND, IND On May 15 the youngest member of Branch 62 Barbara Diosi was baptized. Pictured is the com­pany of relatives and friends at the afternoon party. Branch Manager Joseph Kovács took this opportun­ity to extend the newest benefit of our society, a FRATERNAL BENEFIT given to the child when both parents are members of the HRFA. Everyone had a wonderful time. On Sunday, June 11th, the Hammond and vicin­ity branches and the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Indiana Harbor and their members, cel­ebrated a very special occasion. A farewell afternoon was held for Mrs. Auriel Ludwig, former branch manager who has decided to move to a warmer climate, Denver, Colorado. The members of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Hungarian Reformed Church worked very hard to make this occasion en­joyable for evervone. The Federation was repres­ented by Joseph Kovács, Branch Manager, who wished Mr. Ludwig good luck and a pleasant trip to Colorado. Joseph Kovács Utoljára együtt az Egyesület tagjaival TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 85 - BROWNSVILLE, PA The dance group of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church of Brownsville have traveled to Ligonier, PA, to entertain the residents of the Bethlen Home. The picture shows them standing in front of the Home. They are members of Branch 85 who use their spare time to learn authentic dances of Hun­gary. In addition, to performing locallv, thev also travel to neighboring communities to compete at dance festivals. Their enthusiasm is contagious and their service to the community appreciated and en­joyed. Anna /. Novak BRANCH 228 - ROSSVILLE, SI The members of Branch 228 have been meeting on the first Sunday of every month at 2484 Arthur Kill Road, the Rossville Hungarian Reformed Church. During the respective months Mother’s Day and Memorial Day were observed, Flag Dav was noted, the “Challenge of Patriotism” address was given by Charles Toth, president. In August the branch remembered the “First King of Ilungarv, Stephen” who had brought the carlv Christian Church into Hungary and in September, Labor Day was observed. The branch members use their meet­ings to collect dues and to extend their concern for each other. At the same time the occasions give purpose and fellowship to everyone. Charles l oth
