This money will help pay for my tuition and books. Again, thank you for aiding me. Sincerely, Juli Szanyi Akron University Student BRANCH 165 - AKRON, OH John Sunyecz, grandson of branch mgr. Mrs. Eli­zabeth Patonai, has been informed by Ohio Uni­versity', where lie is enrolled, that he has been select­ed as a Dean’s Achievement Scholar for the 1983- 84 academic year. He was selected for this honor on the basis of his class rank and SAT scores. Thirty- five students out of approximately 200 who indicat­ed an interest in pharmacy, were selected. Congrat­ulations! Sunyecz — all members of the Federation BRANCH 302 - NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ The following were elected as branch officers at the March 7th meeting: László Lipóczkv president, Viola Wyttenbach, vice president, Ida Bankó branch manager & secretary, Júlia Tompa, comptroller. The following reports were also given: Deceased mem­bers whose memory will be blessed among us were John Sandry, Joseph Miko, Michael Huszar and Mrs. Julia Horvath. New Members enrolled are Alex Patho family, Linda Kraft, the Pepin baby. Plans for the supper to be held on Saturday, April 23 at the Magyar Reformed Church with Branch #394 were finalized. The proceeds of the supper will be given to the Bethlen Home and the Student Aid Fund. During the past two years Branch 302 members had sent a total of $236 and 40 cartons of gifts for the benefit of the Bethlen Home. A $100 donation had been given to the Student Aid Fund. It was decided to attend the supper on March 19th in Dover, NJ, given bv Branches 93 & 113. Ida Bankó BRANCH 21 - TOLEDO, OH Held a Palacsinta Brunch on Mav 22, 1983 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. The women made 592 palacsintás and served them with a variety of fillings. The profit was divided between the Federation and Calvin United Church of Christ scholarship funds. Lola Erni was co-chairman with Mary Bacho. Thank you to all who helped to make it a success. Marv Bacho
